Privacy Policy

This page explains what happens to the information you give One Way Garage Doors LLC, trading as Garage Door Repair Near Me in Los Angeles, whether you type it into the form on this website or read it out to somebody on the telephone. It is written to be understood rather than to be technically unanswerable, and if anything here is unclear you are welcome to ring and ask.

What We Collect

From the booking form: your name, a telephone number, an email address if you choose to give one, the address the door is at, which service you need, and a preferred date and arrival window. There is a free text box as well, and whatever you write in it comes to us as you wrote it.

From a telephone call: the same things, taken down by whoever answers. Our dispatchers make notes about the fault so the right parts go on the van.

That is the whole list. We do not ask for payment card details through this website, and nobody from this company will ever ask for them by email.

What We Do Not Do

This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics, carries no advertising, and contains no tracking pixels from social networks or ad platforms. Nothing here is watching which pages you read or how long you spend on them.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers, lead resellers or marketing companies. If you contact us about a broken spring, the only thing that happens is somebody rings you back about the broken spring.

The One Outside Service This Site Uses

The typefaces on these pages are served by Google Fonts. Loading them means your browser makes a request to Google's servers, and that request carries your IP address and general browser information, as any web request does. Google's handling of that is governed by its own policies rather than ours. Nothing else on this site reaches out to a third party.

Why We Have It and What We Do With It

Your details are used to quote the job, to dispatch a technician to the right address at the agreed time, to ring you back if the plan changes, and to raise an invoice and a receipt afterwards. Where a manufacturer's warranty applies to a part we fitted, we may need to pass your name and the job details to that manufacturer in order to claim it.

We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a repair. If we ever want to send you anything other than a reply about your own job, we will ask first.

How Long We Keep It

Job records, including the address and what was done to the door, are kept for as long as the warranty on that work could still be claimed, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require us to hold invoices. Enquiries that never turned into a job are cleared out once it is obvious nothing is going to come of them. Nothing is kept because it might be useful one day.

Who Else Sees It

The technician attending your job, the dispatcher who booked it, and whoever raises the invoice. Beyond that, only where we genuinely have to: a payment processor when you pay by card, an accountant, a manufacturer for a warranty claim, or a public authority where the law requires it of us.

Your Rights in California

California residents have the right to know what personal information a business has collected about them and why, to ask for a copy of it, to have it corrected if it is wrong, and to have it deleted. You also have the right not to be treated worse for exercising any of that, and we will not price a job differently because somebody asked a question about their data.

California law also gives a right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share it, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right exists whether or not we make use of it.

To exercise any of these, ring the number at the top of this page or email us. We will ask a couple of questions to confirm you are who you say you are, for the obvious reason that we would not want to hand your address to somebody else.

Children

This is a garage door repair business. The site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anybody under thirteen. If you believe a child has sent us something, tell us and it will be deleted.

Keeping It Safe

Job records are held on password protected systems and seen only by people who need them to do the work. No system is beyond compromise and we are not going to claim otherwise, but we hold as little as the job requires and we keep it no longer than we need to, which is the most effective protection available to anybody.

Changes to This Page

If what we do with your information changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Anything materially different will be described here rather than quietly folded into the wording.

Asking Us Something

Questions about any of this reach the same desk as everything else. The telephone number, email address and postal address are in the footer of every page on this site, and somebody will answer.
